I’ve never heard of Kickstarter before. Until now, that is.
But now..I am moved. By the whole idea of small projects finding hope and getting backing from real people.
I came across Kickstarter because I follow bestselling author, Donald Miller’s blog and I love his work! I’m also currently reading his book, A Million Miles in a Thousand Years which is ironically about the book Blue Like Jazz turned movie screenplay and making your life a better story (playing on real story writing and real life experience). Both books are exceptional, in a down to earth, “I’m not a perfect Christian and I’ll show you my junk but I’m inspiring nonetheless” kinda way. I’m a huge fan, in case you didn’t guess already.
So in following Don, I saw on twitter that the movie project was going to be indefinitely postponed due to insufficient funding. And then this thing happened where they heard about this idea of crowdsourcing- a fancy way to say the common people are funding the movie.
Enter: Kickstarter – Save Blue Like Jazz the Movie So here’s where you come in….
Wanna make a difference in one small project and take a huge step toward helping mankind see an awesome Christian inspired movie? Join in the movement. There is only 6 1/2 hours remaining to be part of history. And by the way, there are some terribly awesome incentives. I for one have 2 tickets to the movie premiere in Seattle, and a movie coffee cup!!!!
Still not sure? See Donald Miller’s 5 Reasons to DONATE NOW!
***Remember the donations are over come 12 midnite on October 25th.
